I uploaded a video of the second half of my walking tour of the streets of Shomen Street in Kyoto. After crossing Karasuma-dori, I entered the calm streets of the city. Around the intersection of Kawaramachi Dori and Kiyamachi Dori, the atmosphere is so calm and relaxing that we would think we were in the middle of Kyoto. Unfortunately, Nintendo’s old head office was under renovation, but the building with a sense of history and tradition is still standing. After crossing Kamo River on Shomen Bridge, the final destination, Toyokuni Shrine, is just around the corner. The Shomen Bridge is the narrowest of all the bridges crossing the Kamo River in Kyoto City, and I like it the most because of its elegance. I hope you enjoy walking along Shomen Street as much as I did last time.
